Group F Match Reports: Second Stage: Brazil didn't look particularly impressive against Australia, but have still qualified for the next stage with a game to spare. You get the sense that there is still a lot more in reserve for the Brazilians, but they will need it if they are to go all the way. Australia will qualify if they beat the croatians in their last match. This would be a monumental achievement for the Socceroos, but Croatia will be really tough opposition, and could go through themselves with a win. Expect a no holds barred slugfest here, as both teams like to get stuck in on the pitch. It will be a war. Japan have now got the hardest imaginable task. Beat Brazil to get into the Knockout stages. One thing is in their favour though, Brazil have already qualified and may not field their strongest side. japan have played excellent football in both their opening games, but have struggled to put the ball in the net. This must go against them. First Impressions: A massive victory for the Aussies against Japan gives them a real chance to progress, altough it would still not surprise us if they didn't. They have a good team spirit, and work like trojans, but possess little quality. They will hope to upset Brazil's rhythm in their next game. Brazil were unconvincing in despatching Croatia 1-0, but are in the Group F driving seat. They should be comfortable with Australia next up. Pointless Croatia and Japan meet each other next, and it should be a cracking game as both sides are keen to attack. A win is vital for both teams to have any further prospects. Don't be surprised if this group produces one or two shock results.
