Mexico v Angola -
Portugal v Iran
Portugal v Mexico -
Iran v Angola
Second Stage: Portugal have qualified comfortably without really playing to the top of their ability, the opposition have not been up to much, but Portugal must still be respected in the knockout stages.
Mexico will be uneasy after failing to beat Angola leaves them needing to get something from their final game against Portugal to guarantee qualification. A lot will depend on Portugal's attitude on the day as to whether Mexico will prevail.
Angola now have a sniff of a chance of qualification if they can win handsomely against the groups poorest side Iran. The Africans will certainly be up for this game, and expect a real hell for leather approach, all out for victory.
Iran will be going home early, but will no doubt enjoy it if they can produce a victory against Angola and throw a spanner in their works.
First Impressions: Mexico and Portugal will look to put this group to bed before they have to face each other in the final Group D game. Mexico's victory over Iran and Portugal's over Angola puts them firmly in the drivers' and co-pilots' seats.
Mexico have Angola next, Portugal have Iran. It is difficult to see how either of the minor nations there can qualify.
