Ukraine Football Team
The Ukraine Football Team will be appearing at the Finals for the first time in Germany 2006, at the third attempt. Their qualification was very convincing in an extremely challenging European qualifying group which contained Denmark Turkey and Greece. The Ukranians came out on top of the group, only losing one game in the progress.
Ukraine will undoubtably the least favoured opposition for the favourites in their World Cup Group H, Spain. The Ukraine side is fronted by the fearsome Andriy Shevchenko, who has been feared throughout European club football for several years. He truly is a World class player and expect him to shine on the biggest stage.
Also drawn with them in Germany are Saudi Arabia & Tunisia, who both must be beatable, but could prove tricky. If they do progress through the group stage, they could be very dangerous to any team in the later rounds.
The Ukraine Football Team is managed by Oleg Blokhin, a hero of past Soviet football, and they are ranked at number 40 in the World by FIFA.
