Togo Football Team - The Hawks

The Togo Football Team will be appearing at the Finals for the first time in Germany 2006, after 32 years of trying. The Hawks, as they are nicknamed, surprisingly finished above Senegal in their qualifying group.

Togo's undoubted star is Emmanuel Adebayor, who has scored vital goals for the Hawks in qualification.

The draw for the finals in Germany has been kind to Togo and they may be a surprise package to progress even further. Drawn in World Cup Group G along with France, Switzerland & the Korean Republic they must have a fighting chance.One thing is for sure - The Hawks will be entertaining to watch.
