Cesc Fabregas: Fabregas is a natural talented footballer blessed with remarkable skill, wonderful technique, superb vision, and great passing ability. You could argue that his goals and virtuoso performances for Arsenal this season is solely responsible for their fantastic start. Cesc is without doubt the best foreign center midfielder player in the premiership and continues to show great experience and leadership qualities for one so young . There, really are very few weaknesses in his game and it's hard to criticize a genius and I think we still have not seen the best from this wonder kid. He is getting stronger and better every season and if he continues to improve at the same rate you are not only talking about at the future best central midfielders in the Premiership but the world.

Frank Lampard: Love him or hate him, Frank Lampard is one of the best attacking midfilders in the world. He is a goal machine a fantastic central midfielders with great passing ability scoring some great goals and has a shot like a bullet. Renowned for his skills as an attacking midfielder his attacking prowess makes him a prolific goal scorer for both club and country with some great runs into the box and powerful long-range shots that strike fear into the hearts of premiership goalkeepers and defenders. How can you criticize a player of Lampards quality and caliber he has almost perfected his game a true professional with a fantastic attitude and love for his profession.

Steven Gerrard: Steven Gerrard is the complete footballer its very rare you find a player that can do absolutely everything, pass, pace, skill, tackle, shot, vision everything Steve G ticks all the boxes. For me he is without doubt the finest central midfielder this country has ever seen, season after season he continues to excel. He is the perfect central midfielder a born winner and leader with amazing passion and superb dedication. Loved and adored by the Liverpool fans you could argue on occasions he has single handedly carried Liverpool, scoring some vital goals and leading them to that famous champions league triumph in Istanbul. For me Steve G is the man I don't believe the question should be is he the best central midfielder in the Premiership but can anyone get close to him in the world.

So Who Is The Best? Comparing who is the best is very tough because people have different views and perspectives of what being the best is. All the players are world class and have very few weaknesses this would make it wrong of me to criticize any player. When judging each player I like to look at how they perform outside their comfort zone. This is where for me Steven Gerrard slightly edges it. He has the ability to adapt to any situation, very often he has been asked to play in different positions and still been outstanding. Being a great central midfielder is not just about attacking and scoring goals it's also about defending being a great leader and working hard for your team. Its very rare you find a player who is exceptionally gifted at both and for me this is what makes Steven Gerrard a very special player and sets him apart from the rest.
