Sweden Football Team

The Sweden Football Team have again qualified for a major tournament with relative ease, losing just 2, but more impressively winning the other 8 qualifying matches.

The Swedish team have a proud history at World Cup Finals, having qualified 10 times and being beaten finalists in 1958. In Germany they will be drawn with England, Paraguay & Trinidad & Tobago and must fancy themselves to reach the second round.

Nearly all the Swedish players ply their trade around the European continent, with notably Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrik Larsson & Freddie Ljungberg as their stars.

The Sweden Football Team are coached by Lars Lagerback, possibly the best named manger at the tournament. FIFA rankings have the Swedes in 14th position.
