I grew up living over the road (First Avenue) from Peter & his family. He was 1 year older than me so we didn't mix socially very much; as was the case at the time you stuck to your school year mates mostly.
He was always smiling & larking around. On one occasion I was larking around with him at the front of the stalls in our local cinema. We were playing a kind of leapfrog when Pete pushed me instead of jumping over me. I ended up banging my head against a protruding screw sticking out from the end seat of a row of seats. I left the cinema in an ambulance with blood pouring from my head! Peter legged it fast!
I still have a scar above my left eye to remind me of the occasion; you could say that Peter left an indelible mark on me for ever.
