I can only remember some of the wittiest and funniest, seemingly unbelievable stories of this young lad that the management would not allow to move on to his destiny. However, since I was not even in England and only knew one of his mates who opined that this footballer was the best he ever saw--at least close to Bestie, I could never do justice. Please contact Phil "Lofty" Parkes, who surely must still be in the West Bromwich-Wolverhampton area. He would love to regale the true stories, as well as the behind the scenes laughs, having played with Peter Knowles, and some you would not have heard from their summer in Los Angeles. I would surmise that these great athletes never tire of remembering their youth when the ball was orange, the grounds unmanicured, no transfers and interested teams one would hear about years later when their pace had slowed. I am an American fan who has always loved real football, all the teams, now hoping Everton takes it all. We cannot afford to attend athletic events either. To the memories!
