Paraguay Football Team
The Paraguay Football Team will be hoping to emulate their last two World Cup Finals appearances, by reaching the last 16 again in Germany 2006. Their qualification was not a surprise, but their performances were a little erratic to say the least.
The Paraguayan side were hammered 4-1 by little Peru, but defeated powerful Uruguay by the same score. They beat Argentina and drew with Brazil, but were pummeled by Bolivia. If you get them on their day they can be very difficult opponents.
Paraguay are drawn in World Cup Group B along with England, Sweden & Trinidad & Tobago and must fancy themselves to progress again. They have a squad of relatively unknown players to the Europeans, except for Roque Santa Cruz who plays for Bayern Munich & is always worth a fortune in the Championship Manager game.
The Paraguay Football Team are managed by Anibal Maņo Ruiz, and are ranked at number 30 in the World by FIFA.
