League Cup: 3rd round; Doncaster Belles h. 0-4
FA Cup: 5th round; OOH Lincoln a. 1-3

Highlight:
Leeds Carnegie h. 1-0, 5/4/09

Low Spot:
0-4 defeat at home to Doncaster Belles in the League Cup 3rd round, 12/10/08

Good:
Natalie Clarke
With pacy, strong running forwards either side of her in Andrea Bell and Levi Penny this clever, scheming attacker was at the heart of most of the good things Forest did going forward.
Ellie Gilliatt
Gilliatt is a pacy, competitive full back with an all action style that few in the Premier League can equal. Sharp in the tackle and eager to get forward at every opportunity she makes her presence felt all along the left hand side.

In Brief:
Forest looked odds on to be relegated in what was their first season in the top flight but a vital victory away to rivals in distress Liverpool was the catalyst for a stunning run of form which saw thirteen points collected from six games and guaranteed safety.
This transformation was not entirely surprising as Forest had generally shown themselves to be awkward opponents only to lose out narrowly, often to late goals.
This was a team without any real individual stars that worked hard individually and as a unit and they had reason to feel pleased with themselves at the end of the season. To climb higher in the table next season some more quality is probably required, however.
