MY HERO MY DAD

It gives me such a thrill when i read such a wonderful article on my father and his footballing exploits. He was a hero to me like most fathers are to their children. Being the youngest of his five children i was too young to witness his playing days, but cherish the times when he took me to football as a young boy at Rhyl. He always said to me play with your heart not your head and that is something that runs true in every sense, from his passion not only for football but for his family and everyone that crossed his path.
He proved in football terms that dreams do come true! Even so long after his playing days i still find it amazing that you can tap his name into a computer and there in front of you is his lifes story. That is something that he would find incredible should he be with us today.
I was only thirteen when he died but over the years since he left us, i have had the pleasure to meet and hear stories about the man they called the "Blonde Bomber". Long may this continue and i hope that his story may inspire others to follow their dreams.
