My favourite player of all time, such a shame he never fulfilled his potential fully. As an Orient fan he gave me a lot of happy memories and I saw him play for West Brom and Real Madrid too.

Lawrie was one of my first cousins who was not just a brilliant player he had a great personality and was always great to be around.
For me it is always a nice feeling when he is mentioned, to think that he died such a long time ago and is not forgotten.
I am very confident that he still lives on in in his son Sergio, who I believe will follow in his footsteps. This is the day that I am waiting for, to see Lawrie come alive again.

Subject: laurie cunningham and brendon batson

I am really stunned about this information as laurie cunningham was my grandads cousin and brendon batson was my nans cousin.
I would have loved to meet them but they have gone. My dad said that laurie used to come and see him. My nan says my brother takes after them because he's so good.
my brother plays for tottenham, he has a years contact with them and guess what he is only seven. I know that laurie will go on as a legend.
