Jim Cannon a True Pro

I watched Jim Cannon as a Boy and he was the best single example of a pro footballer anyone could ask for. It's a crime he never played for Scotland. Everything that makes Crystal Palace Football Club should be indebted to a true legend and a truely great man. I had the privilage to play against him and meet him and was humbled by his genuine modesty. How I wish men of his calibre were in the game today. No diving, no lack of passion and loyalty and a one club man through and through. I doubt we will ever see the like of him again.
