Ivory Coast Football Team

Germany 2006 is the first time that the Ivory Coast Football Team has qualified for the World Cup Finals under, and "The Elephants" as they are nicknamed will be major underdogs.

The Cote d'Ivoire team really surprised everyone when they qualified from a very strong African group containing African Nations champions Egypt & Cameroon.

The Ivory Coast squad does, however, contain some players of real note; Arsenal's Kolo Toure & Chelsea's Didier Drogba prove that the side does have real class in key positions.

Expect the Ivory Coast to serve up some good attacking play, and perhaps some unexpected moments of drama. Their runners up finish in the African Nations trophy should give them confidence for their campaign in Germany.
