Italy Football Team - Azzuri

The Italy Football Team have a great history at the World Cup Finals, having won it three times, the last being in 1982. The Azzuri are always fancied as potential winners and this year will be no different.

The Italian National team's qualification was relatively easy in a tricky European group, and they only lost one game, finishing in top place.

The Italy squad has undergone a restructuring over the past couple of years and several new younger players have been given their chances. Luca Toni & Danielle De Rossi are two of those youngsters who should figure highly for the Italians.

The Azzuri are in the very difficult Group E along with the Czech Republic, United States & Ghana, so if they have one of their characteristic slow starts they may struggle. If the Italian side get into the knockout stages, they must be feared.
