Competitive defender in the traditional mould who puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Whether she is equipped to handle the best forwards in Europe is debatable, however.
Italy: 1-2
Not required as Katie Chapman was used as an emergency centre half and Rachel Unitt brought on at full back.
Russia: 3-2
Not required again although England's defensive frailty may offer hope of an appearance before the tournament is through.
Sweden: 1-1
Probably thought she was going to see some action when Lindsay Johnson went down early in the second half but in the end she wasn't required.
Finland: 3-2
7 out of 10
Was called upon for the first time amid injury concerns over Faye White and Lindsay Johnson, coming on at right back in the second half. Tidied up efficiently on a couple of occasions and was the only player who managed to clear any of Finland's late corners with any success.
Got sucked in too close to her centre halves on a couple of occasions but Finland failed to exploit the space in their eagerness to pump the ball forward.
Holland: 2-1
Not required on this occasion as Alex Scott returned from injury to take the place of the latest casualty, Faye White.
Germany: 2-6
Kept on the bench again as England approached the final with a full complement of defenders.
