one thing i forgot to say about teddy is this, he didn't really have such a great start at the begining of his football pro career with Doncaster Rovers.

I recall meeting him at our local youth club once, we were both there after the same thing, Dousey, remember Teddy or what??????

Anyhow I said to him in the midst of this epic struggle for dousey, "How R u getting on at Donny?" anyhow teddy says back to me, "They've got me on a site"

I said back to teddy "There's something wrong with your eyes???""

"No" says Teddy "They've got me on a fking Building site"

Well that was the progressive thinking then at Donny regarding football development in the early 1970s, they put him on a Building site, to strengthen him up"

Anyhow, I says back to teddy "Fcking marvellous, I am trying to get on one and I cant get a fking Apprenticeship"

Well that's Britain for you.

But despite not being allowed to learn too much about football during his apprenticeship at Donncaster Rovers he still came through and made a great player. and the site forman said, according to kinsley folk anyhow,

this lad has got the makings of a ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, thats a pause ,, bit of graphics ,,, never hurt no -one ,, unless george bush or margret thatcher had constructed it ,,,,,

In fact, whether this is true or not I'm not sure, well u know what kinsley folk are for spinning a tale, infact its rumoured that mandelson spent some time in kinsley learning this fine art, of not telling the truth but not getting caught outright. anyhow, without telling telling a porkey.. i shall continue,

anyhow the site foreman said of teddy this, "if i could get him here on a monday morning and keep him here on a friday afternoon, this lad has got the makings of a fine brickie,

well, i thought about this a few years later and concluded that maybe i should have gone to doncaster rovers 4 a job as an apprentice brickie, instead of fcking around applying to Mcalpines and so on ..


Viva Revolution, that's what I say, let wannabe Brickies Be brickies and let full time footballers concentrate on football, especially during the time which is supposed to be specially allocated for them to learn the game ...
