October 30.
A single goal success over Oxford United was enough to send Leyton Orient to the top of League Two after Wycombe Wanderers dropped points at Peterborough United, never the easiest place to visit.
Grimsby Town'sdraw and defeats for Rochdale and Carlisle allowed the chasing pack to close up on the third promotion place.
Taking advantage most spectacularly were Carlisle United who hammered Stockport County 6-0. Wrexham and Boston United
also profitted.
Torquay United fall to the foot of the table after defeat to Boston with Macclesfield Town overtaking them after a narrow victory over Bristol Rovers.
With Rovers themselves falling perilously close to the drop zone this could become a harrowing season for the people of Bristol with both the cities clubs currently struggling.
Individual performance of the day in League Two goes to Notts County's Glynn Hurst whose fine hat trick put his side three up at Bury and ensured maximum points despite the home teams' second half rally.
