I am a passionate Sunderland fan and believe me big Dave was as good as king Charley Hurley not better but yes as good, he was a tower of strengh in defence and awesome when he went up for corners I actually cried when he left my beloved Sunderland he was the last of the great centre halfs and I dont believe their will be another Big Dave.
Thanks Dave for the memories you were adored at Sunderland and rightly so.
