Having been drawn in a tough looking group Sweden looked in for a hard ride after drawing their opening game at home to Iceland. The Swedes' pedigree was then clearly demonstrated as they went through the rest of the campaign without dropping another point, seeing of the challenges of Portugal and the Czech Republic along the way.

Look Out For

Hanna Ljungberg remains a forward to fear and the younger Charlotta Schelin is one to watch with her adventurous style from midfield.
The Swedes have talent throughout their side, however.

Prospects

One of the real powers in womens' football Sweden will have to be at their best to repeat their runners up finish of four years ago.
They will provide tough opposition for anyone, however, and will fancy their chances if they can get out of the toughest looking group of all.
