Review:

This looked the weakest group on paper but it was keenly contested, Ghana apart, and its' relative strength will only be known after the knockout stages.
Norway looked a strong, functional outfit who will be hard to beat and qualified comfortably despite only drawing with Australia.
This was the result that ultimately took the Matildas through after they scored in injury time to grab a draw with Canada in the final game.
This was hard on the Canadians but Australia probably just about deserved to progress overall.
The obvious star of this group was Australia's Lisa De Vanna who came off the bench at half time in all three games and scored twice against Ghana, the crucial equaliser against Norway and was instrumental in the late equaliser against Canada.
Norway were well served by the goals of Ragnhild Gulbrandsen and I was particularly impressed by the stylish but strong midfielder Ingvild Stensland.
Disappointing were Ghana whose defending could be kindly described as naive or more accurately as embarrassing.
