A goal that sticks in my mind as one of the best I ever saw was for England in the World Cup (1986 I think in Mexico). They were playing Poland or was it Paraguay, my memory is not good for details like that however the quality of the goal is clear in my mind. The ball comes out of the England defence to Peter Beardsley close to the halfway line and he onetimes a perfect pass down the left wing for Hodge to race onto and he onetimes a perfect cross into the penalty area & Gary Lineker running at pace onetimes a volley high into the net from just a few yards out. Beautiful to watch taking just a few seconds from halfway line to goal with only three perfect kicks.
