(That's think to you Joey). Is it any wonder that people get irate with prats like Joey Barton in our game. Little spoilt brats who are paid far too much money and think they are superstars.

Is it also any wonder that the much criticised football agents find little difficulty in removing vast amounts of cash from such 'clients'. It does not take a rocket scientist to work out that Joey has probably not planned his transfer request on his own.

Picture Stuart Pearce about 6 months ago standing up in a press conference with little Joey, after all the well publicised off the field activity from the young lad had brought about calls for him to be booted out by City post haste. Psycho stands by Joey and states that the club will do everything they can to help him through his crisis e.t.c.

Seems that Psycho is a man of his word, and has turned the boy around. Barton has improved immesurably as a player - we can't comment on his off field activity, but I dare say he's smartened that act up as well.

I would imagine Pearce was a very surprised man to recieve a telephone call from Joey to request a transfer. Nice touch that Joey you little hard case, not fancy telling him face to face? Not surprisingly, Pearce has refused flat.

Pearce will continue to select him for City. I hope Psycho decides to mark him in training for the next few weeks as well.

It just makes you think doesn't it? For a start, how good does Barton think he is? How many sides that are substantially better than City would want him? How many would want to risk taking on someone with his history?

Give your head a shake Joey. You're not all that.
